Smart-sliding doors are a new development in the sliding door/window segment and can ultimately be an attractive alternative to PSK/PATIO terrace doors.
This is an excellent solution for single-family houses, but also for public buildings where ease of use and reliability are expected from terrace doors.
Smart-slide doors can be manufactured in scheme A: 2-square with one movable leaf and scheme C: 4-quadrant with two moving leaves.
With a clever combination of technical solutions, the Smart-slide achieves very good results in terms of air permeability, wind pressure resistance and water tightness tests.
This is all thanks to the tailor-made perimeter seals of the sash, which are pressed transversely against the frame, all the way around, by turning the handle. High tightness is also ensured by the locking points in the mullion area.
The all-round locking ensures high clamping force and at the same time, when opened, the sash moves extremely smoothly with minimum force.
The innovative locking mechanism allows for simple and intuitive operation, similar to the solutions used in lift and slide doors, type HST.
Specialised window fittings ensure that the sash, once unlocked, slides freely and without the slightest resistance on the bogies relative to the unopened part of the structure. The locking mechanism allows the sash to close gently in the frame, thus allowing the sliding doors to be operated easily.
This is a very important advantage especially in comparison to PSK/Patio doors, which can be cumbersome to operate with a large number of opening/closing cycles.
